With your permission, WeLap collects precise location data via GPS when you use our lap timing features. This data is necessary to calculate and record your lap times. You can disable GPS access through your device settings.
Session and Performance Data
We collect and store data about your driving sessions, including lap times, circuit information, vehicle selection, and performance metrics.
User-Generated Content
WeLap allows you to upload photos, videos, posts, and comments. We collect, store, and display this content as part of your profile and community interactions.
Payment and Subscription Information
If you subscribe to WeLap Premium, your subscription is processed through Apple In-App Purchase. We do not collect, store, or have access to your credit card or banking information. Apple handles all payment processing securely.
Technical Information
We automatically collect technical data including device model, operating system version, app version, and crash reports to improve app stability and performance.

Location Data

User Content
You are responsible for the content you upload to WeLap. When you upload content, you grant WeLap a license to use, display, and distribute that content within the App. User-generated content may be visible to other WeLap users depending on your privacy settings.
Payments and Subscriptions
WeLap Premium subscriptions are processed through Apple In-App Purchase using StoreKit. We do not directly process or store payment information. Apple handles all payment processing securely. We use RevenueCat for subscription management and only receive information about your subscription status and purchase events.
Analytics, Advertising, and Crash Reporting
Analytics
We may use analytics tools to understand how users interact with the App. This data is typically anonymized and does not directly identify individual users.
Advertising
The free version of WeLap may display advertisements through Google AdMob. You can opt out of personalized ads through your device settings. Advertisements are not displayed in WeLap Premium.
Crash Reporting
We may use crash reporting tools to collect information about app crashes and technical errors. Crash reports may include device information and app state but do not include personal data.
Third-Party Services
Supabase
WeLap uses Supabase for backend infrastructure and database services. Your account information, garage data, session records, and user-generated content are stored on Supabase's secure servers.
RevenueCat
We use RevenueCat to manage subscriptions and in-app purchases. RevenueCat receives information about your subscription status but does not have access to your payment information.
Apple App Store and StoreKit
On iOS, WeLap uses Apple's StoreKit framework for in-app purchases and subscription management. Apple processes all payments and stores your subscription information.
Google AdMob
If you use the free version of WeLap, you may see advertisements served by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect advertising identifiers to serve personalized ads.
Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize most of your personal data within a reasonable timeframe, except where legally required.
